The Campanile of San Marco is imposing compared to people down below at Piazza San Marco in Venice, Italy where it is always teemed with tourists and pigeons, but this image shows the façade of the Basilica of San Marco below to the back left as well as the nice arcaded façade of Procuratie Nuove. The almost cloudless sky has a patch of clouds above the main dome of the Basilica. The Piazza was used for church music in the Late Renaissance period.
